For companies wanting to integrate bar code
technology with their ACCPAC Plus system, PBT Entry is basic bar coding
software for producing volumes of UPC labels, customer "floor ready"
price tickets and various item labels, shipping labels and tags. As the
entry-level version of MJD Software's advanced PBT
Pro product, PBT Entry provides all the features you need to introduce
bar coding to your operations.
Labels can be produced through industrial
or desktop thermal bar code printers. For
smaller quantities of labels, a laser printers can be used. PBT Entry
provides flexibility with line, font and sizing controls on labels.
PBT Entry can also be integrated with other
modules to incorporate bar code scanning technology into existing business
processes, such as: physical inventory counts, picking, packing, and point-of-sale.

Labels
PBT Entry allows you to create and print item labels, including bar codes,
to meet many different requirements and standards. For your convenience,
a selection of predefined label formats are included.
Database
PBT Entry maintains a sophisticated database providing you the power and
flexibility to maintain as much existing product marking information as
you need - no more need to re-label received items. Now you can pre-label
customer price tickets for items on sales orders with the least amount
of effort. Additionally, PBT Entry's robust bar code database ensures
that you can use bar code scanning at different points in your business
process and automatically verify items and know the exact quantity in
base stocking units, even if you are not scanning your bar code that identifies
a standard Inventory Control unit of measure.
Whether you are counting stock, picking
orders, or scanning at point-of-sale, the bar code tracked or printed
by PBT Entry provides the most accurate product identification information
available to track your inventory.
Integration
PBT Entry is designed to integrate with ACCPAC Plus PC-based accounting
software. Using ACCPAC Plus Inventory Control as the host inventory database,
PBT Entry extends it's functionality and provides a foundation for
integrating bar coding across your entire operation.
