For companies wanting to increase efficiency and accuracy in their
order picking process, Live Picking is the paperless picking solution
for your warehouse. Designed for integration with ACCPAC Plus Accounting,
Live Picking is used to pick items to fulfill orders, utilizing
both hand-held Terminals with integrated bar code scanners and PC
terminals.
A Live Picking solution is made up of three components, the Live
Picking Host Interface which installs into ACCPAC Plus Order Entry,
the Live Picking Portable Application
which runs on a Symbol hand-held terminal, and the MJD
Nexus which transfer data between the other two.
Live Picking merges selected orders from ACCPAC Plus OE with item
bar codes from PBT Pro to
create an electronic picking slip. The electronic picking slip is
sent to the hand-held terminals for truly portable picking and data
collection. Picking errors are eliminated, as Live Picking is able
to electronically identify and validate the items being scanned.
It warns the picker of overpicking, underpicking, or picking the
wrong item.
Serial and Lot numbers can be collected during the picking process
and maintained for use in recall and warranty issues, either via
an on-line inquiry function or through reports. Once the orders
have been picked, the data is transferred back into the ACCPAC OE,
where picked quantities are used to update the shipped quantities
automatically, meaning no more having to manually enter shipped
quantities. You can set up Live Picking to prevent the invoicing
of orders when certain types of picking conditions occur, such as
incomplete orders. A complete report is generated to identify these
conditions. Valuable statistical reports are produced to identify
order fill rates, invoice exceptions and serial and lot statistics.
Order Entry is updated for invoicing, along with the other related
accounting modules.
Errors in product shipping with large volumes of error-prone invoicing
data entry, are dramatically reduced while warehouse productivity
increases. Live Picking integrates with other MJD products to provide
new inventory controls to distribution companies.
